Children’s brain development will be the highest during their first 5 years. Especially during years 3-5, they tend to learn more from the environment. We, at Vera help children enhance their brain activity by promoting creativity, independence and improve their social skills as well.
Pre-nursery
A pre-nursery age child begins to learn and understand new concepts. While ‘academic’ skills are very important for the development of the our Pre-nursery children, we place a lot of focus on personal, social and emotional development of the child along with problem solving skills to lay a strong foundation for future learning. Through collaborative play and learning alongside each other, our Pre-nursery children will learn how to respect and get along with others.
Nursery
The Nursery children will build a strong foundation in social, pre-academic, and general life skills that will help them in their future school years. Children will learn through independent explorations, structured activities and hands-on experiences. The Nursery program is designed to enhance the confidence of the children and help them become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Children will learn to do self-help tasks
Kindergarten 1
In Kindergarten 1, our children will practice the basic concepts of Numeracy and Logical Reasoning Skill development, Language, Literacy and Communication Skill Development with enhanced focus on reading and writing. Children will learn to manage their feelings and behavior. Through hands-on activities and projects children will learn to explore, create, ask questions and solve problems.
Kindergarten 2
Our focus in Kindergarten 2, is to prepare our children to be confident independent thinkers, explorers and lifelong learners. Our program will have enhanced focus on life skills development, financial literacy, 21st Century skills and a basic knowledge of technology. Several well designed confidence boosting activities will be included as part of the curriculum. Our Kindergarten 2 curriculum will ensure that our children are Grade 1 ready.
Extended Half-day Preschool
Children learn best when they have many opportunities to learn new skills and reinforce what they previously learnt, through repetition. This add-on program focuses on development of the five core development areas: communication, physical skills, expressive arts, knowledge & understanding of the world and personal/social/emotional skills.
